Pizza Topping Wars!

Tuna

I know you think I’m CRAZY, but I first had tuna pizza when I was in Italy about 8 years ago and I have been in LOVE ever since, love I tell you!

Spinach

Who needs tomatoes (or sauce for that matter,) when you have spinach and cheese?

Pesto

I don’t love pesto on pasta, but when it’s on pizza I am a BIG fan (this is actually a picture of the pesto pizza at Vito’s in Los Angeles— one of my FAVORITE pizza places EVER.)

Goat Cheese

I am a goat cheese FANATIC (I eat the stuff plain, with scrambled eggs, in salads, on sandwiches…) and goat cheese pizza is no exception.

Artichoke Hearts

I love artichoke hearts (super good on sandwiches, in salads, in omelettes…), but they’re especially good on pizza.

Wild Mushrooms

You have to be pretty careful when it comes to wild mushroom pizza, because sometimes the mushrooms will TOTALLY overpower the whole pizza. So beware…

Spider Pizza

Sweet eight-legged mother of God no.

Kalamata, black, Greek, ANY olives

In a very close second come olives, always my topping of choice when a kid. I got lots of “oooh yuck”s because of it. I could still eat a can of olives, or a gourmet container of briney olives any day. Mmmm.

Fried Egg

You haven’t lived until you’ve had pizza with a fried egg on top.

Ricotta Cheese

Forgot mozzarella. Pizza with soft pillow ricotta is where it’s at.

Fennel

When used as a pizza topping, fennel is usually accompanied by some kind of sausage, and it’s usually delicious.

Potato

I’ve talked about my dislike of potatoes on Guidespot before, but potato pizza is one of the few instances where I will give in on the potato issue— this just looks too good to say no.

Olives

Sometimes a simple olive pizza just does the trick.

Pineapple

I could care less about the ham, just GIVE ME THE PINEAPPLE.
