How I loved TV when I was kid. I'm sure if I watched these shows now I'd think they were corny as hell, but at the time I thought they were AWESOME. So what '80s shows did you think were (to use the parlance of that era) totally tubular?
St. Elsewhere
Before there was Grey’s Anatomy, ER, Chicago Hope, or Scrubs, there was St. Elsewhere. A young Denzel Washington could definitely give McDreamy a run for his money. Watch episodes here!
Night Court
Before Boston Legal made me people pee in their pants while learning about the glorious American legal system, there was Night Court.
A little taste of Night Court
Gimme a Break!
Nell Carter was the O.G. Dr. Bailey. She didn’t take any crap from no one!
Punky Brewster
Obviously. Just like every other girl, I wanted to be her. I also wanted a dog just like hers and to name it Brandon. At the time, I thought she was sooo much older, but now when I look at pictures, she was just a little baby.

See? Punky taught me well.
P.S. Check out those drugs (?!?!) Seriously??

Alf
Alf definitely ranks high among my favorite TV aliens. Not to mention my favorite TV puppets/muppets. Too bad human-puppet interactions are now relegated to Sesame Street. Watch episodes here!
The Facts of Life
How I loved this show. I spent many quality hours with Mrs. Garrett, Blair, Tootie, Natalie and Jo. Too bad I was totally immune to the hotness of a young George Clooney.
Three words: Great theme song
Small Wonder
My other favorite 80s show. Though Vicky always managed to creep me out just a bit.

See what I mean? She’s totally creepy, but I couldn’t look away. And wtf is with that Harriet girl??
