I don't know if I could ever bring myself to eat something as adorable and time intensive as the bento boxes below, but that doesn't mean I can't waste time on the internet looking at pictures of them. And you can too! PS: I apologize in advance for the excess of exclamation points
WTF is a Bento Box?
Technically, a bento box is “a single-portion takeout or home-packed meal common in Japanese Cuisine.” So, it’s a lunch box. Not so exciting. The awesome style of bento boxes seen here is actually known as kyaraben or “character bento.” I wish I had this kind of time (or creativity!) to make a lunch that was this adorable.
