Okay, it's Sunday - you're starving and the orange juice in your fridge that smells a lot like last nights mixed drink is making you want to puke. You need to pickup food fast and are not willing to walk 10 minutes. Not a problem, if you're living in/near the South End!

Flour Bakery & Cafe

1597 Washington St, Boston, MA 02118

Flour Bakery on Washington is my all-time neighborhood favorite. It’s always worth the super long line. The almond brioche is divine, as well as their homemade raspberry seltzer water. If you’re in the mood for something a bit heavier than breakfast, the sandwiches are great as well. Only downside – lots of children and strollers on the weekend and it’s super small, so hard to grab a table.

Francesca's Espresso Bar

564 Tremont St, Roxbury, MA 02118

Francescas breakfast sandwiches are a sure fire hangover cure. Cheap, greasy and delicious. The ham and swiss crossiant is sooooo good. Okay, now I’m hungry…

Appleton Bakery Cafe

123 Appleton St, Boston, MA 02116

Appleton Bakery on Appleton and Dartmouth is another great on-the-go option. Like Flour, it’s pretty small, so don’t expect to find a seat during the breakfast rush. My favorite part about visiting Appleton is that there’s always a new muffin flavor to test out. Pear/coconut? Yum

I’ve always wanted to visit Boston. If I ever do, I’ll have to check some of these places out.
