Tremors

Tremors is a classic sci-fi horror-thriller about a desert town fighting evil subterranean worm-creatures called “Graboids”. A quasi-tribute to 1950s desert-horror flicks, this 1990 movie is actually quite hilarious but scared the crap out of me as a kid. It’s also Kevin Bacon’s best work since “the Air Up There”.

Kentucky Fried Movie

6 words: Catholic High School Girls in Trouble.

Hands down the funniest B movie ever. If you haven’t seen this, Sumuel L. Bronkowitz production, put it on your Netflix list today.

Glen or Glenda?

Ever heard of Ed Wood?

I don’t know if his movies count as B movies (I’m thinking C or D, or even D- . . .) but Glen or Glenda is a standout bizarre and horribly-made film.

Somehow, though, I can appreciate what he was trying to do here? And who can forget Bela Lugosi’s sinister rambling about “Snips, and Snails, and Puppy dog tails!!”

Howard the Duck

“Howard [a human duck] is abducted from his native world and dropped into the Florida Everglades by the demonic Thog the Overmaster of the dread realm Sominus”

Howard cusses, kicks butt and practices quack fu on his enemies throughout the movie.

Siskel and Ebert named this “the worst film of 1986.”

Note to self: Siskel and Ebert are idiots.

Evil Dead Two

After losing the use of his hand, main character, Ash, adapts by attaching a chainsaw to his arm to fight off evil Demons in this 1981 flick that was later adapted into a Canadian musical running from 2004-2007.

Need I say more?

Troll 2

Seeing Troll is unnecessary, and actually confusing! There are no trolls! This movie has it all, horrible acting, bad special effects (the popcorn scene), and horrible costumes (burlap sacks and halloween masks). And memorable quotes! “NILBOG is GOBLIN spelled BACKWARDS!” This movie kills brain cells. Enjoy it with a beer, make that several.
