Explore Booksellers

221 E Main St, Aspen, CO 81611

This Bookstore is in an old house and also has the best organic, vegan bistro tucked inside, called Explore Bistro. Perfect for lunch. Each ‘room’ is a different genre of books. I could have stayed for hours. I found a great book on interiors, and just fell in love with this wonderful shop and bistro.

New York Pizza

409 E Hyman Ave, Aspen, CO 81611

For late night grub in Aspen, it just doesn’t get better than this. After a beer, or 5, the locals like to drag themselves up the stairs to this small pizza spot, with big slices. Your eyes may be crossing from a few too many cocktails, but the pizza is what really makes your head spin. This is serious NY style pizza. That’s amore!

Eric's Bar

315 E Hyman Ave Frnt, Aspen, CO 81611

Eric’s bar is a casual, low key bar that connects to a cigar bar by the same owners. On your way to and from each stands a pool hall with so many tables I thought I was at a pool competition! Perfect for drinking a couple of pitchers. The cigar bar is sleek, darker and plays top forty hits so you can suck on a stogie and hold your partner close.

Belly Up

450 S Galena St, Aspen, CO 81611

For live music in Aspen, Belly Up is the place to be. Prepare to be wowed by the thousands of pictures of killer performers that have played here. The stage is small and the dance floor is even smaller, but the sound is great, and you’ll have a blast shaking your groove thing at Belly Up.

The Hunter Creek Trail

ASPEN, CO 81611

This is a wonderful trail with all kinds of sights to be seen. We saw deer, running water, birds, old miner’s homes, flowers, skunk cabbage and more. We hiked for about 2 hours and it was one of the best hikes I’ve ever had. Definitely fun!

The Rio Grande Trail

Aspen, CO 81611

This is great for biking or running/walking as it is a large flat trail. It’s right along side the Roaring Fork river(thank you Dan), and not the best for taking your pooches, definitely not without the leash! Still a fun trail, especially if you are like me and like to be by the running water. Lots of activity along the trail.

Matsuhisa

303 E Main St, Aspen, CO 81611

You don’t have to go to New York to taste renowned Japanese chef Nobu’s cuisine. In fact, Aspen has it’s own Nobu owned restaurant, taking Chef’s last name as it’s nameskake. Sexy intrerior with a stuning menu of standard sushi and rolls along with more unique entrees will suit everyone in the party, as long as they can foot the bill. Go ahead, live a little!

The Sky Hotel

Need a place to stay or just hang out?

Sky Hotel

709 E Durant Ave, Aspen, CO 81611

I’ve stayed at the Sky for lodging, and also gone to play. The bar mixes a mighty fine cocktail you can sip while sitting in the modern bar area. During summer, the pool is not only for swimming. If you want to fit in, be sure your Gucci sunglasses don’t outshine your high heels, dahling. Very posh.

L'hostaria

620 E Hyman Ave, Aspen, CO 81611

In the mood for Italian? L’hostaria is simply smashing. This Italian restaurant was filled with people, even at the bar, eating and laughing and drinking the night away! A great looking front patio was quite large, but we sat inside. I hear the bar food is great, but you can eat either bar or dining, not both. We sat in a corner booth that was perfect for the three of us. We started with the proscuito carpaccio and calamari, and I suggest the carpacio completely!I loved the carpacio, served with fat breadstics to roll the proscuitio. For dinner I had pesto marinara gnocchi that was good, but the standout was the seafood stew. It was amazing and the truffle risotto…how can you go wrong with anything drizzled in truffle oil?

Jimmy's An American Restaurant & Bar

205 S Mill St, Aspen, CO 81611

At first this seems like your average bar, but after you sit down at your table you’ll notice the hundreds of signatures of guests named…what else, Jimmy! Big crowds and big drinks make this a great hang out.
