Who We Are: Established in 1998, urban university is a non-profit organization with the mission to improve the socio-economic status of impoverished individuals. urban university is launching its newest program, urban furniture, a platform for transitional employment for low-income single mothers. How You Can Help: We need you to donate your used or new furniture, in re-sellable condition, to our organization. Examples of items that we accept are: chairs, sofas, bed frames (not mattresses unless brand new and still in plastic), desks, tables, book cases, lamps and artwork. If you are not sure about the item you wish to donate, please feel free to contact us and we will verify whether or not it is usable.
