Arms - Seabear
This is one of my very favorite songs of all time. Seabear is so unique and wonderful. They make me want to live and love forever and with everything. They make me feel so beautiful and every aspect of the songs are pure magnificence!
I Can Feel A Hot One - Manchester Orchestra
I have listened to this song over and over again and I keep falling deeper and deeper in love. It’s fluid and chill and so damn beautiful!
Milk Thistle - Conor Oberst and The Mystic Valley Band
Conor Oberst is one of my favorite artist of all time. To me he is classic. He comes always with a message that is genuine and is back up by experience. He holds wisdom it seems more than most his age. I adore his music very much and this song in particular feels so real and forward. It is almost like a monologue or confession like you are giving up and taking in different things. Everything about a Oberst song is brilliant to me. This is just an example!
Carousels - Beirut
Beirut is another favorite artist of mine. He has such unique flavor. I love his voice and his use of so many instruments of which he plays himself. I am in love with this song in particular at the moment because his voice is so inspiring to me. It makes me wanna march for a cause or start something magnificent for all the world to see just as day breaks!
Speeding Cars - Imogen Heap
Oh the vocals and oh the lyrics in this songs are so brilliant and so glorious. They sparkle and shine all on their own. I love Imogen Heap but this song in particular is seems very haunting in a way.
Catch The Wind - Donovan
This is my absolute favorite Donovan song. He sounds suspiciously like Bob Dylan. This song describes such a genuine search and desire for true love.
Tree Hugger - Antsy Pants and Kimya Dawson
I always love the stripped down and genuine sound of Kimya Dawson and with the addition of Antsy Pants this song is made into such a sweet almost lullaby melody with a an also very sweet message. I sing this song with my little brother often. It’s truly delightful!
Romulus - Sufjan Stevens
From what I gathered this is a story about a separated family. Sufjan’s voice is always beautiful and this message really hits home for me.
My Girls - Animal Collective
I cannot even put into words how inspiring the lyrics are to me. The music is so different and brilliant in many ways. I believe the overall message of this song is what makes it so extreme and so deep and even more so very beautiful!
Stronger Than Jesus - A Camp
I have listened to this song everyday for the past week at least three times! It has such an awesome message that needs to be spread through out all of the world! Her voice is excellent kinda makes me think of Stevie Nicks and the lyrics are so real and clear!
Melt Your Heart - Jenny Lewis
This song really does do what the title says. Her voice is so pure and sweet and so is the message of this song.
Annie - Vanessa Carlton
Her very best song. Her voice is always good but with the combination of these lyrics, the piano, and the heavy message you cannot escape the wonderfulness and sadness in this song! Brilliant.
Furr - Blitzen Trapper
I love this song so very much. Makes me want to start life over in the country and fall in love there and raise a family. It is truly a story. It is very simple and beautiful from his voice to the music. Contagious lyrics!
Little Secrets - Passion Pit
This song is so awesome and beautiful because of such interesting vocals. It is very empowering.
River to Sea - Jeremy Enigk
This song makes me think of Oasis is a way exploring themselves on a different level. I like the metaphors a lot and it’s got good advice.
