I like where I live. I also like to get away. My vacation time just rolled over so it's time to start a-plannin'. I have some places to go...but need some more ideas. So, you, out there...Where should I go?

I'm going to pop across to the Jolly Old...

…and spend some time with a BFF in London Town (and in her town 3 hours outside of London). This year I will bring my new found love of peas, I will research the how’s and why’s of roundabouts, and I won’t make my hosts feed me all sorts of genuine “english” food. (Nando’s here we come!)

Bermuda

This picture reminds me of bad art at the mall, but Bermuda is constantly the vacation milling about in my mind. But honestly, I’m looking to go to 18 different places every day of the year. Why Bermuda? Because often times there are really cheap flights there out of NYC, like $125 each way.

A few years ago I learned that Bermuda is NOT part of the Caribbean (yeah Catholic school social studies!), but rather, is about 2 hours flying off the coast of the Carolinas. What?!?!? Who knew? Not me! So, it’s kinda freakin awesome to know that I’m only about 5 hours away from that. WANT.

I'm going to be a beach baby...

…with my family in Bethany Beach, Delaware.

Our yearly trip in July always brings fond memories of Sno-Balls, exploding bathing suit tops, Shooter Jennings concerts, and board game playing. (Ok, honestly, we always SAY we are going to play the games…it never happens. 2009 is the year!)

Punkin' Chunkin'

I have a whole list of random things I want to see in 2009 (which I should do a guidespot about) but one of the places I want to go on Vacation is to the World Championship Punkin’ Chunkin’ Contest held every year in November in the middle of DE. (this is what happens when I watch too much Discovery Channel)
