A little bit of a drive from San Francisco, but totally worth it. The perfect place to fall in love with a fraud, and to see some great redwood trees. There’s a lot of great hiking to be found. If you’re hard core you can go on the 35 mile backpacking camping/hike that will take you from Castle Rock to Waddell Beach. I’m not saying you should, but you can.
