Grab your cool bike and head over to Handlebar. I love this place! It’s in almost every one of my guides. Why? Because it’s COOL!

This bike friendly bar has local Chicago beers and my fav, Maudite, on tap (among others). Ride your bike over and grab a few.

Handlebar, named after well… the handlebars on a bike. Easy to walk to from the train, but much easier to bike to. You will find bikes parked in the front and back garden area of the restaurant.

At night this joint serves Maudit and Hoegarden beer on tap. During the day, brunch begins at 10am. That’s how hipsters like it, start brunch as late as possible to still call it brunch.

Ride your bike over and eat in the garden if it’s still warm. If you don’t have a bike, rent one. You’ll fit in.

For $4 you can get a side of smoked gouda macaroni and cheese. I haven’t had it yet, but I’ve heard it’s amazing.
