The coolest museum in town (ok, I am a design junkie) is the Kirkland. This small museum dedicated to original art in the form of iconic furniture design, decorative art and craftsmanship is something completely special and unique to Denver. The staff and museum are so incredibly full of information and classic design that it’s hard not to leave with a yearning for that Marcel Breuer chair you’ve only seen in pictures.

Housed in the former studio of Vance Kirkland in the Capital Hill neighborhood, the Hodges will experience paintings and drawings from the local artist. In addition, the museum also hosts a range of 20th century artwork with a focus on local artists. Remember to leave the kids at home, children under 13 are not allowed.
