Just walking by this place gives you a sense of how tasty the food is…the smell wafts out onto Comm Ave, and on a good day, sneaks right up the hill to my place. Zocalo’s interior is also a force to be reckoned with…dark lighting gives it romantic ambience, while candles in the evening give it a flair most Mexican places in Boston just don’t have.
The obligatory “sit down, order and pay like ten dollars for a burrito” restaurant, Zocalo more or less is what it is. If anything makes this place stand out, it’s the fact they serve some of the better sangria I’ve had in the city. Who doesn’t like some sangria?

This may sound too good to be true, but Zocalo has 11 varieties of sangria, and is praised for its great food and cozy atmosphere.
