The ultimate happy place for a carb junkie as yours truly is. Cakes, paninis, rocking-good coffee and smiles abound in this tastefully decorated space. Parking can be a chore and snagging a table can be a test of will and patience. But everything is forgotten as soon as a piece of that berry blossom cake passes your lips.
... OK, I need a moment…
Formerly Sugarplum Bakery, I was told by the owner that faced with debilitating legal fees over the rights to the name of the shop, she decided to draw on her ethnic background and rename it Susina Bakery. Name change aside it’s a good thing she’s decided to keep her recipes intact as everything I’ve tried is absolutely delicious. Their cream cheese brownies are the very definition of groin-grabbingly good.

Serves some food and incredible desserts. You order, have your food given to you and pay for it all at the same time which is great b/c if you’ve arrived and within ten seconds you’ve already got a nickname for this guy ie: monkeyboy was my last one, you don’t even have to wait the extra time it takes for your server to get you the check before telling him, “I’m sorry, you’re a great guy, really but…” and then running home to watch “Make Me a Supermodel.”
