So, its Tuesday. I have the ahi tuna ready to make fish tacos, all the taco bar items are prepared, but that’s just not what I want. And, more importantly, I just don’t feel like cooking. Via is just a few steps away, making it an obvious choice.
I ordered the appetizer portion of mussels in wine sauce with a salad.
The mussels were very fresh and perfectly steamed in the wine sauce. The sauce was a traditionally prepared broth that was tasty.
The salad was a bit uneventful. Spinach (the kitchen substituted spinach
for the arugula – which I detest) with white beans and shaved parmesan and a moderate amount of orange vinaigrette and a few grilled shrimp. The shrimp was fresh but could have used more seasoning.
I would recommend ordering a main course portion of mussels with a small side salad, or some Linguini. That would be really tasty.

Via is one of my favorite LoDo lunch spots for a business lunch. The patio is delightful on a warm sunny day and the pizzas come out with bubbly, thin crusts and gooey cheese that melts in your mouth. Split one with your friend and have a salad for starters and enjoy your Italian lunch.
