If you havn’t made it to this gourmet spice shop yet, you don’t know what you’re missing! When I say they have unique and hard to find spices, I mean it. The spices here will make you forget about any grocery store spice you’ve ever used before. You can smell the aromas before you even enter through the door way and you’ll have a hard time choosing just one or two to take home with you. Thihs would also make a great gift for your guests to take home to remember your gourmet dinner. Make sure to ask for a taste before you buy or just for fun. It’s like a candy store for chefs.

Listen, this local spice shop gets me grooving before I even go inside… the strong scent of spices oozes our the front door and takes over my senses…. I swing open their wispy screen door and stride over to a row of spices… dump some spice into my hand, and slowly lick it off to see what I experience… Me like, I pour more! Me not so like, I dump the leftovers that are in my hand onto the floor (hey, they told me to do that)!

Not joking, you can almost have a meal in here… you can test anything and everything… from cheese spices, to chocolate powder to curry and garlic. They even have spices named after local neighborhoods… I enjoy the Highlands Italian Cheese Sprinkle and the Wash Park all around spice. My all time favorite, Chat Masala!

Men who want to score with the ladies or their special lady… bring her here, watch her lick, buy her spices, and then head to the chocolate store next door to set those senses into “must have” mode!

Savory Spice is unique in the region, with two rooms packed with fresh, potent spices. The chef in me is drawn to this place, and it’s easy to spend far too much on the various curry seasonings, hot chocolate mixes and more that fill the shop. This place is a must-visit for any aspiring cook.

They have the most amazing spices here… With little recipe ideas on the back of every bottle. Find your favorite Bloody Mary spice, which you can claim is your secret ingredient!

Hint: Try using the Chat Masala!

Savory Spice Shop

This is an incredible spice shop. They grind all of their spices there and mix their own blends (the garam masala is especially nice). They have the regular extracts like vanilla and almond, but also rarer ones, like chocolate and cherry. Additionally, you can buy as little as half an ounce, so you don’t end up with a jar full of spice that you only use once a year. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the smells are delicious.
