I was crazy about Michelle. She was pretty, an actress, and had a great smile. Right after we saw Clerks she told me it wasn’t working for her. Ouch.

Known for it’s independent films, upstairs bar, and amazing architecture, the Mayan is a great theater to see a movie. Do be aware the seats are a bit small and the theaters are not your blockbuster, run of the mill complexes where you’d go see Ghostbusters 8. This is meant for small audiences to have an experience. Order a cocktail and feel free to bring it into the movie, but remember bathroom breaks do interupt your fellow movie watchers! First rate films that play at the Sundance Film Festival are always shown at the Mayan, so you can tell all your friends you saw it first.

Whenever I’m having a bad day, I want to catch a movie to forget about everything for a while. The Mayan is one of my favorite theaters in Denver because of it’s history. The old architecture keeps my eyes entertained before previews and the Indie films keep me culturally stimulated. Ciao, baby.
