Modern Mexican is how this restaurant describes itself, and the meals deliver. The Carne Asada dishes are outstanding with the perfect amount of heat and spices to give it it’s flavor. Cilantro, avocado and other fresh ingredients make this restaurant a stand-out. If weather is permitting, ask to sit on the rooftop patio with an excellent view of downtown and the city.

Denver’s poster child establishment for “new west” cuisine. An excellent and very inventive menu, with a strong nod to mexican and eclectic modern flavors. Prime location, with one of the best outdoor patio (rooftop) scenes in Denver. Their Guacamole and Roasted Corn soup are homemade gems.

For a taste of the New West, Tamayo never fails. A must visit for those interested in sampling the “best of the west”. A great rooftop patio makes it a special evening spot in the spring and summer.

Very creative new west cuisine. An upscale creative Cal-Mex bistro, with Spanish influences. Roof Top patio has a great mountain view and nice lounge area.

Patio Dining in Denver

A modern mexican restaurant takes traditional mexican cuisine and adds an unexpected twist that delivers an unexpectedly fabulous dining experience.

The patio is a very festive place to have before dinner drinks as well as dinner. Offering a spectacular view of the western slope, it is covered which has its pros and cons. Pros – the obvious one: staying out of the rain (a rare occurance in Denver). Con – the heat gets trapped under the canopy making it uncomfortably warm on a hot summer night. Ask to be seated in the area that is not covered!

Enjoy!
