I found out about this yummy place on the Food Network…I took the train there immediately! Pomme Frites is a specialty shop serving authentic Belgian fries, or as the Belgians call them, "pommes frites”. The potatoes are fried twice. The first time they are cooked through. The second time provides a golden color and makes them deliciously crisp. They are so good, they will make you want to slap your mama as we say in the south.

Speaking of heavy carbs, do yourself a favor and pick up a cone of America’s favorite side order at this eatery in the East Village. Pommes Frites not only makes a few different types of fries available to its customers, but you can dip them into such unconventional sides like Parmesan Peppercorn or Mexican Ketchup. Just try to be sharp, you won’t be the only ornery half-drunk there trying to keep it going til four a.m.
