Can’t say I’m a huge fan of the food, but damn, their wine list is extensive! They also do some great wine tastings (Tuesday nights at 7pm, $30, food included) and have live jazz most weeknights.

Perhaps you don’t think this wine bar is a good lunch spot…perhaps you are wrong. Not only is the lunch menu better a bargain compared to dinner, but given that it’s technically in the Leather District (cool your heels, it’s not that far), it’s much less crowded than your typical Federal Street spot.
Les Zygomates isn’t cheap, I’ll say that upfront, but if you plan well, it’s another great after-work option. Have your date meet you there around 6:00 for dessert and wine, thus giving him time to grab a quick bite first. Select one of the many bottles for around $30, a couple of desserts, and sit back to enjoy the live jazz!
