Apache Junction is a city primarily in Pinal County, Arizona, USA, with a small portion in Maricopa County. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 31,814. Apache Junction is named for the junction of the Apache Trail and U.S. Highway 60. Superstition Mountain, the westernmost peak of the Superstition Mountains, is nearby.
