Post WWII Denver was a prime spot for the modern styles. A few developments were exclusively modern, like Arapahoe Acres, but most of the modern homes are sprinkled throughout the areas developed in the 50s and 60s. The homes were appropriately scaled on their lots, built with sharp, clean lines, used natural materials inside the home (especially Colorado red flagstone), kept a strong connection with the outdoors, and had lots of sun make for Mile High Mid-Century goodness.

I used to live right behind Stella's on Old South Pearl in Denver, but have since moved. While I'm no longer living in Platt Park, I did stay in the same zip code, so I frequent OSPS quite a bit. The Farmer's Market on summer Sunday mornings is a little slice of Mayberry in big bad D-Town.
