So Halloween is coming up and as usual I need ideas for what to be. I not only have to figure this out for myself but also for my kids. What is everyone going to be this year? Also feel free to share what you were last year. I have no shame in being seen as unoriginal. If you think mid-September is too early for this well you are wrong. I can start talking about Halloween because the stores have all their Halloween stuff out already, so there.

So I am a feminist and I am the mother of a little girl. The mother part means I am familiar with all of the Disney princesses and the feminist part means I judge whether the princesses are worthy or not of my daughter's idealization. GuideSpud has been locked up in the office during the week. Sure, he gets out over the weekends but during the week he stays at LMI burning the midnight oil. I brought him home Tuesday to give him a break for the same old office thing. Although hanging out with kids under 4 is probably not super relaxing.

So we are planning a trip to Las Vegas in October. I need to start planning. I know Vegas isn't as cheap as it used to be so I wanted to put out there the hotels we are looking at and their costs. Suggestions are welcome, I want to make it special but not have to tap into my kids college fund. The prices are for a weekend in mid October.

I have a tacky side and I always wanted to get married by Elvis. It always sounded like it had the appropriate tacky level I was interested in. Problem is, I'm already married and it wasn't by Elvis. So 5 years later it feels right to celebrate by getting married again and this time by Elvis.

It is our family tradition to ski on Thanksgiving. We have been spending our Thanksgiving weekends in the summit county in Colorado for over 20 years now. It is a great way to kick off the ski season. Our favorite spot to stay is Breckenridge. It has the cozy small town feel and great skiing. I love to ski and my daughter is finally old enough where I can get her in ski schools. This will be her second year skiing. Last year we only went up a handful of times. The instructors told me that 3 year olds don't really have the muscle strength to ski. We shall see how she does now that she is 4. She loves it, loves it. She has been asking to ski all summer. I can't wait to take her again. I just learned she is ready for the chairlift on her next trip, now the fun begins.

I picked my Volvo S40 because it is a safe and reliable car. I didn't think I would love the cute little car as much as I do. It's comfy, fun, and fast. I had to get the turbo because you could only get all wheel drive with the turbo option, poor me.

I'm looking for a good kindergarten school for my oldest kid. Of course, I think she is smart and talented therefore I need to find a school where she can flourish and thrive.
