    oh also, even though it’s the jersey shore, a great place to get pictures of hoodlums (probably 80% of which are italian) is guidofistpump.com. half of the jersey shore in the summer is composed of “hoodlums” from south philly anyway

    yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes yes! another thing to distinguish between a “hipster” and a “hoodlum” is whether or not the person is aware that they are not in a nice neighborhood. hipsters can be found out and about on their rusty bikes that they paid $200+ for from a used bike store into the wee hours of the night, naively peddling through the ghetto. also, the only people who would ever refer to it as East Passyunk are people who aren’t from Philly. it’s South Philly.
