About Me

I grew up on a 250-acre pear farm in what is known today as Silicon Valley. I received my fine arts training in the late 1970s at the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. I later earned a B.A. in journalism from Humboldt State University. During my career in journalism, I worked for a wide variety of daily newspapers and publishing houses, ranging from the Santa Barbara News-Press to the New York Times Co., the Los Angeles Times and Random House Publishers. Art Farm represents a return to my roots, both as a farm kid and as an artist. I'm enjoying the regression.
