Even if you don't live in the L.A. Metro Area, you probably feel like you have some idea of what Pasadena is like - from Beach Boy's songs or parades that you watch on TV (because you are either 80 or 5 years old) or what have you. It's true, this city nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains is idyllic, peaceful and clean. Still, I thought of at least 10 reasons why you should never go North on the 110 past the 101. Exit! Exit!!

I got a haircut a couple of months ago and found myself, once again, with bangs. If you are a girl you know the painstaking decision that it is to cut bangs because once you do it, you'll have to go through a heckuva lot to get rid of them. So in my quest for the perfect haircut (found it!) I started to take note of celebrity bangs. Then I decided "Famous Bangs" would be a funny title for a guide (I also considered and dismissed as hacky "Bangin' Bangs"). So, here we are.

Maybe it's because I grew up in Boulder, Colorado -- home to as many generations of hippies as there are. Maybe it's because I moved to Los Angeles. Or maybe it's just somewhere in my blood. But for whatever reason, even though I cringe at dreadlocks and send bad vibes towards the spiritual healer that works in my building, I still engage in some pretty inexplicable hippie-ish behavior. We've all done it. You see an infomercial late at night and whatever is being advertised looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. You might be drunk, or sleep deprived, but you HAVE TO HAVE IT. Then 6-8 weeks later, a box shows up at your door and you think "What IS this?" then you open it and probably feel kind of stupid because it isn't going to change your life like you were sure that it would.
