Home to the MLB's New York Mets, Shea Stadium has served as the team's home field since 1964. Its last season is in 2008, after which the new Citi Field will open. The field is just west of the city, near the USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center.

Shea has been criticized almost from the beginning for its odd design features: no permanent bleachers until recently, huge amount of foul territory and lack of intimacy among others. Well, critics, you got your way then!
