A 210-foot, art deco tower which stands atop Telegraph Hill, Coit Tower offers a spectacular, panoramic view of San Francisco from its apex, making it a popular attraction for visitors and locals alike. Built in 1933 at the bequest of philanthropist Lillie Hitchock Coit, the tower is home to an amazing array of Works Progress Administration murals painted by such artists as Jose Moya del Pino, John Langley Howard and William Hesthal during the Great Depression. Located in North Beach on Telegraph Hill, the tower can be reached by climbing the steep, but lovely Filbert Street steps.
Admission Details
Adults $4.50; Seniors (65+) $3.50; Children (6-12) $2; Children under 6 are free.
