The beautiful Booth Theatre was built in 1913 by architect Henry B. Herts and named in honor of famed 19th century American actor Edwin Booth. Today, the theater continues its long tradition of presenting high-class performances of new and classic pieces in an intimate 783-seat setting. The theater is located in the mid-town area, across the way from its sister theater, the Shubert.
