Founded by famed author and historian Stephen Ambrose, The National World War II Museum has been named by the United State's government as the official World War II museum for the entire country. The museum is located south of the French Quarter, within walking distance of Lafayette Square. Visitors can follow the different aspects and stages of the second World War through interactive exhibits, such as a recreation of the sands of Normandy Beach which includes the positions of the amphibious assault vehicles.
Admission Details
Adults $14; Seniors (65+) and Students (w/ID) $8; Youth (12 and under) and Military $6; Military in uniform and children under 5 are free.
