La Jolla Caves are a natural wonder featuring a large sea-side cave that’s easily accessible from the cliffs above the ocean. The caves are just outside of the downtown area, located within Coast Blvd. Park. Popular with visitors since the early 1900’s, this attraction is nicknamed Sunny Jim Cave, after a cereal mascot whose profile resembled the outline of the cave entrance.
