At the Houston Museum of Natural Science, visitors tour exciting exhibits on everything from gemstones and minerals to dinosaurs and the indigenous peoples of America. Beyond observing fossils and other artifacts, visitors can see dozens of species of live butterflies at the Cockrell Butterfly Center, see terrific star shows at the Burke Baker Planetarium and watch larger-than-life educational movies Wortham IMAX Theatre. Set within the Museum District's Hermann Park, the museum is close to the ever-popular Houston Zoo and The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
