The largest museum of its kind in the Southeast, the Fernbank Museum of Natural History seeks to educate the public about the history of the world, animals, plants and humans through its awesome and entertaining displays. The largest museum of its kind in the Southeast, the Fernbank Museum of Natural History seeks to educate the public about the history of the world, animals, plants and humans through its awesome and entertaining displays. One of its highlights is the replica of a skeleton of an Argentinosaurus, one of the largest dinosaur species discovered to date. Other displays include an aquarium featuring a colorful living coral reef, a collection of beautiful and rare gemstones, a wetland display and a massive IMAX theater. Located in the Druid Hills neighborhood of Atlanta, the museum is close to downtown and less than a mile south of Emory University.

Museum: Adults $15; Seniors (62+) and Students $14; Children (3-12) $13; Children 2 and under are free. IMAX: Adults $13; Seniors and Students $12; Children $11.
