The Discovery Science Center is filled with activities and hands-on exhibits geared towards children that speak to scientific principles and their real-life applications. "Thoracic Park" has a variety of interactive areas on the functions of the heart and lungs while "Dinosaurs in Your Backyard" is full of activities entirely devoted to these ancient creatures. Special educational events for children and groups take place throughout the year at the center's building, located south of downtown within walking distance of Colorado State University.
