The Frye Art Museum was originally a gift willed to the city of Seattle by deceased moguls and art lovers, Charles and Emma Frye. The museum is located on First Hill, just east of Swedish Medical Center. Today, the Frye showcases classic and contemporary artists, as well as the Frye's astonishing original collection of more than 230 pieces of 19th- and 20th-century German, French and American paintings.
