Description

Washington Park Arboretum holds 230 acres of leafy and flowering plants and trees, largely those native to the Pacific Northwest and the larger Pacific Rim. Highlighting the rich variety of plant life in the region, the arboretum holds the continent's largest collection of Sorbus plants and maple trees. One of the most unusual and beautiful areas in the park is the traditionally designed Japanese Garden, filled with ponds and sculpture, plants and man-made structures.
