Description
The Seattle Center was originally the site of the 1962 World's Fair, and almost all of the popular attractions now standing in the complex, including the Monorail and the towering Space Needle, were built for the celebration. Performing arts thrive at the center, with venues like the Seattle Repertory Theatre, the Intiman Theatre and Marion Oliver McCaw Hall hosting companies including the Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Seattle Rep. The center is in the Queen Anne neighborhood, just north of Downtown, near Myrtle Edwards Park.
