Description

Combining the appeal of both used and new bookstores, Powell's City of Books is the largest store of its type in the world, buying and selling books both common and extremely rare. Featuring more than one million books on its shelves, the store also draws in big-name authors for lectures and readings. The store is in Portland's Pearl District, just north of downtown and south of the Portland Center Stage theater company.
