Description

Beginning 620 feet above the bottom pool of the falls, Multnomah Falls is the second highest waterfall that flows year-round. Visitors can hike up a winding mile-long trail to a bridge which crosses in front of the falls and up to the top of Larch Mountain, from which the falls begin. At the base of the falls, a small visitors center provides information on the falls and surrounding areas. The falls are about 30 miles east of Portland along the Columbia River Gorge, beside Benson State Park.
