Howe Caverns are a series of limestone caves and lakes that exist 156 feet underground, carved by an underground river over millions of years. The popular and family-friendly Traditional Tour gives visitors the opportunity to embark on an 80 minute tour that meanders throughout the extensive cave system, ending with a boat ride across the beautiful underground Lake of Venus. Other tours, designed for adults only, include the evening Lantern Tour, where the caves are explored solely by lantern light, and the two hour off-the-path Adventure Tour.
