Description

The Flatiron Building, or the Fuller Building as it was originally named, was built in 1902 and is considered to be the oldest skyscraper in the city. The iconic triangular design of the building was influenced by French and Italian Renaissance architecture the building's architect laid eyes on at the 1893 World's Fair, as well as by spatial constraints of the intersection where the building resides. It is located across the street from Madison Square.
