Description

The Trinity Church was consecrated in 1846, and to this day is considered one of the finer examples of Neo-Gothic architecture in the city, especially the daunting spire that looms above the city's skyline. It has a history of preaching to the poor and disenfranchised, starting with African Americans before the Civil War and immigrants to America during the 19th and early 20th centuries. The church is located south of City Hall Park, near the Wall Street subway stop.
