Description

The Des Moines Art Center features revolving displays of classic and contemporary artists, as well as a stunning collection of contemporary art ranging from the late 19th century until the present. The collection features work from Georgia O'Keefe ("From The Lake No. 1"), Francis Bacon ("Study After Velasquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X"), and Henri Matisse ("Women in White") amongst others. The museum is located within Greenwood Park, just north of Ashworth Park.
