One of Chicago's top family attractions, Navy Pier offers carnival-style amusement rides, boat cruises on Lake Michigan, unique shops and delicious restaurants. Entertainment events at the pier include shows at the 440-seat IMAX theater, performances at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater and daily outdoor comedy, musical and variety shows. The pier sits just north of downtown on the lake, due east of the Magnificent Mile and also contains the Chicago Children's Museum.
