The Bush-Holley House, a National Historic Landmark, was built during the 1730s. It rose to local fame between 1890 and 1920, when it was the central building for the Cos Cob Impressionist art colony—the first art colony in Connecticut. Today, visitors can tour the House and its museum on the history of the colony and the area, as well as the surrounding grounds and gardens, restored to their appearance during the art colony's heyday. The House lies just outside east Greenwich, near the Millbrook Club.
