The Cave of the Winds is one of the nation's oldest show caves, offering a visitors a chance to see a portion of the Earth that dates back to the Pre-Cambrian era. The complex cave system is located just north of the tiny town of Manitou Springs, just outside Colorado Springs. The more adventurous visitor can take a Lantern Tour, an exploration of the raw caverns with only a handheld lantern as a guide.
