193-acre Minnehaha Park combines the natural beauty of silver maple trees, limestone bluffs and blooming wildflowers with intriguing sculpture and an array of outdoor activities. Named Minnehaha, meaning "laughing waters" for the 53-foot waterfall located on site, the park features sculpture depicting Hiawatha and Minnehaha from Longfellow's poem "Song of Hiawatha," and a mask of the Chief Little Crow of the Dakota tribe.
