Description

Boston Common is one of the oldest city parks in the nation, dating back to 1634 when it was used as a grazing area for cows and for official functions including hangings, parades and drills. Covering 50 acres of land, the park is centrally located in Boston, next to the Massachusetts State House and Boston Public Garden.
