Description

The Old Kona Airport State Park was the original site of the island's first airport. Today, the defunct landing strip is the parking lot for the mile-long beach. Many consider the best swimming in the park to be found at the southern end of the beach, near a small sandy inlet. The park is located on the shoreline of the Pacific Ocean, just north of Kailua Bay.
