Featuring a canyon over one mile deep, Grand Canyon National Park is among the most visited and most photographed of all the sights in the nation. From sightseeing to hiking to rafting, the canyon and its surrounding rim can be explored in a variety of ways, with guided tours proving highly popular. Located in northern Arizona, the canyon is 277 miles long, stretching west and east, which divides the park into two main portions: the popular South Rim and the less-accessible North Rim. The park offers a wealth of historic sites, hiking and riding paths, campsites and ranger-led programs; with all this to offer and more, a trip to the Grand Canyon is guaranteed to be educational and exhilarating.
